Pizza Toast Fingers
Buttered bread, cheese, bacon and a savoury tomato mixture make Jeannie’s Pizza Toast Fingers a wonderfully retro party snack. Contributed to the Tully Family Cookbook, the recipe turns simple pantry and fridge ingredients into crisp baked toast fingers with a cheesy topping and chopped bacon scattered over the top. It is practical, nostalgic and ideal for sharing, especially as part of an afternoon tea, high tea platter, children’s party table or casual family gathering. The use of curry powder gives it that distinctive old-fashioned Australian savoury flavour.
