Homemade Pizza Sauce
Before gourmet toppings became popular, a good homemade pizza started with a simple, reliable sauce. This recipe, included in the Tully Family Cookbook, is one of those practical family staples that lets everyday pantry ingredients do the work. Gently simmered with onion, garlic and herbs until rich and thick, it creates a classic tomato base that’s perfect for homemade pizzas, scrolls or even toasted sandwiches. Keeping a batch in the fridge means homemade pizza night is never far away, and it’s easy to customise with your favourite toppings once the base is ready.
