Bacon & Cheese Buns

0.0 from 0 votes

Bacon, cheese and chives give Jeannie’s Bacon & Cheese Buns a savoury, old-fashioned charm. Contributed to the Tully Family Cookbook, this simple recipe mixes plain flour, milk, egg, cheese and finely chopped bacon into a quick batter before baking it in greased patty tins. The result is a batch of small savoury buns that would sit beautifully on a brunch table, lunch plate or high tea platter. Warm from the oven, they are practical, comforting and just the sort of family recipe that disappears quickly once shared.
