Microwave Marinated Chicken Pieces
Robyn’s Microwave Marinated Chicken Pieces are a true snapshot of practical family cooking, using simple pantry ingredients to make a quick sweet-savoury chicken dinner. The chicken pieces are coated with flour and paprika, then cooked in a sauce made from soy sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, tomato sauce, cornflour and water. Shared in the Tully Family Cookbook, it is an easy recipe for busy nights when the microwave was doing the heavy lifting in Australian kitchens. The flavour is tangy, lightly sweet and savoury, making it a handy family dinner served with rice, vegetables or salad.
