Ingredients
1 kg chicken pieces
Plain flour, for coating
Paprika, for coating
1 tablespoon soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white vinegar
¼ cup cornflour
½ cup water
¼ cup tomato sauce
Directions
- Coat the chicken pieces lightly in plain flour and paprika.
- Arrange the coated chicken pieces in a microwave-safe ovenproof dish.
- Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, cornflour, water and tomato sauce in a jug.
- Stir until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces.
- Cook in the microwave on high for 5 minutes.
- Reduce to medium-high and cook for a further 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Stand briefly before serving with rice, vegetables or salad.
