Ingredients

  • 1 kg 1 chicken pieces

  • Plain flour, for coating

  • Paprika, for coating

  • 1 tablespoon 1 soy sauce

  • 0.25 cup 0.25 brown sugar

  • 0.25 cup 0.25 white vinegar

  • 0.25 cup 0.25 cornflour

  • 0.5 cup 0.5 water

  • 0.25 cup 0.25 tomato sauce

Directions

  • Coat the chicken pieces lightly in plain flour and paprika.
  • Arrange the coated chicken pieces in a microwave-safe ovenproof dish.
  • Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, cornflour, water and tomato sauce in a jug.
  • Stir until smooth and well combined.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces.
  • Cook in the microwave on high for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce to medium-high and cook for a further 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Stand briefly before serving with rice, vegetables or salad.

MARINATED CHICKEN PIECES (MICROWAVE)INGREDIENTS: 1 kg chicken pieces coated in flour & paprika

SAUCE: 1 tablesp soy sauce 1 quarter cup brown sugar 1 quarter cup white vinegar 1 quarter cup cornflour half cup water 1 quarter cup tom sauce

METHOD: Combine ingredients for sauce in jug and pour over chicken pieces in ovenproof dish. Cook on high for 5 mins, then on med high 15mins.
